Itinerary
Day 1:
Mandalay - Myitkyina
 Arrive breakfast, leave for Ta Da Oo airport
for a domestic flight to Myitkyina (144
meters above sea level) which is quite hot
during the summer. Check in at the hotel.
Sightseeing includes Myitkyina market
selling mandarin oranges, apples, cumquats
and grapefruits; Su Taung Pyae pagoda; Manao
(i.e. the Kachin word meaning “meeting of
gods”) garden and panning of gold in the
Ayeyarwady river. Overnight in Myitkyina.

Day 2:
Myitkyina – Myitson - Myitkyina
 After breakfast, leave for Myitson (45 km- 2
hrs drive- north of Myitkyina) where Maykha
and Malikha meets and is thus the birth of
the Ayeyarwady river. Enjoy the exceptional
natural beauty at the confluence. Go back to
Myitkyina. On the way, a brief stop at the
Praying mountain (14 km north of Myitkyina)
a scared site for the Kachin & Lisu Baptists
and a location of a bible school and a
seminary. Then, enjoy the scenery at Carain
Naw, the famous view point by the river.
Overnight in Myitkyina.

Day 3:
Myitkyina - Putao
 After breakfast, fly to Putao (402 meter
above sea level). Check in at the hotel.
After lunch, visit Mulasheedee village (13
km – 30 minutes drive) from Putao; walk
along the famous Mulasheedee rope suspension
bridge. Overnight in Putao.(Meal:
B/L/D)
Day 4: Putao – Shangaung village
 After breakfast, leave for Shangaung village
(22 km from Putao). This village is the
largest village on this route. It lies at
the foot of the Shangaung range. Observe the
way of life of the Rawan, Lisu, Kachin and
Khmti Shan living there. Overnight in
Shangaung.

Day 5:
Shangaung – Putao – Myitkyina – Mandalay
After breakfast, drive back to Putao.
Check out from the hotel. Transfer to Putao
to fly back to Myitkyina and then to
Mandalay. Overnight in Mandalay.
